What are some good drugstore/department foundations that's also good as stage makeup?

MAC has very heavy foundation, and when I say heavy I mean very very thick, so it works great for stage makeup. Typically, people won't use MAC foundations as an everyday thing because of this thickness. I'm not saying it's bad quality, MAC is great, but when people are always going gaga over MAC like it's the only thing out there..you have to realize not all products from the same company are going to be amazing. I know you are looking for cheaper brands..but you also said department so I'm giving it a try. :) Good luck
