Advice for a US road trip.?
I don't know a lot about travel in the States, or Canada for that matter. But here it goes. Check with the bus and train service and see if they have travel pes. They are good for a set period of time and allow you to stop over in different locals without having to stick to their schedule. Although the weather is "all over the map", you might want to consider touring the northern states in August and work your way south as Autumn progresses. At least that's the way I would do it as I'm not a big fan of cooler temperatures. You might want to consider a Canadian leg of your journey. It's not like you don't have the time. The weather in Calgary is great, most of the time! The mountains are awesome and the people are fantastic! Also, if you are a member of AAA, they have lots of free info on destinations you may want to visit. Just don't tell them you're not driving! Happy Trails. ****** Hello! I would just like to add that if you want to see a lot of popular spots in a certain town or city, sometimes you can hire a taxi for the day. (or half day). Sometimes it's worth the cost as you have a car which is a lot faster than transit, no parking hle's, always ready to whisk you away to your next destination, the driver could also be your guide, the meter is shut off as a predetermined price has been negotiated, and if the weather is sour, you stay warm (or cool) and dry. Anyway, just a thought.*****
